Even a small amount of damping material can have a profound effect on noise reduction. RMS power is the actual wattage the speaker or subwoofer will be running on most of the time. RMS power can generally be found by taking the peak/maximum power rating and dividing it by two. RMS is equal to the square root of the peak.
