OBCON Stereos and Speakers

An Enclosure is a box custom fitted to match the subwoofers that go in it. You should think about purchasing a OBCON enclosure if you plan on buying OBCON subwoofers. It's a wise choice, especially to get the best sound clarity out of OBCON audio.

Why is it people always complain about a loud stereo? Honestly, there are no laws governing how loud you can tune your OBCON stereo. Aftermarket stereos especially were not manufactured to be played at low volumes.

You can if you like, but once you pay for a nice OBCON system, you're going to want to turn it up now and again. Or maybe all the time.

Buy in pairs! That's right, it's better to buy two OBCON subwoofers then just one. Dualing the subwoofers will give you a more of a surround sound audio experience - and it's best to buy two of OBCON subwoofers then mix and match ones of different brands.

When you're hooking up a new stereo system in your OBCON you'll need a number of components. First of all you'll need an amplifier (not a stock one). It really depends what you want to run in your ride. If you want to run some component speakers, and some subwoofers, you'll need an amplifier which meets your power requirements. Refer to the RMS value of each component and add it to find your total RMS watts required.

Is that your OBCON sound system or is someone trapped in your trunk? Ever hear that line? No? You might, once you install your new OBCON system. Just be sure to tune the sucker down a bit, especially if you're installing some loud subwoofers.

Looking for real power? Look for increased power ratings. OBCON has real power. If you want a small amplifier, try looking for less then 500 watts RMS. For real power from your OBCON, look for 1000 watt amplifiers or higher. 1000 watts RMS can run just about any speaker setup you like - just be sure that the OBCON you purchase has enough channels to accommodate your selection.

I have a 96 chevy s10 with four comp sieries 12s and two 2000i amps and one 1500iampfor the midsand highs. I have a custom everything.
