Why is it people always complain about a loud stereo? Honestly, there are no laws governing how loud you can tune your Stinger stereo. Aftermarket stereos especially were not manufactured to be played at low volumes.

You can if you like, but once you pay for a nice Stinger system, you're going to want to turn it up now and again. Or maybe all the time.




When you're hooking up a new stereo system in your Stinger you'll need a number of components. First of all you'll need an amplifier (not a stock one). It really depends what you want to run in your ride. If you want to run some component speakers, and some subwoofers, you'll need an amplifier which meets your power requirements. Refer to the RMS value of each component and add it to find your total RMS watts required.

Is that your Stinger sound system or is someone trapped in your trunk? Ever hear that line? No? You might, once you install your new Stinger system. Just be sure to tune the sucker down a bit, especially if you're installing some loud subwoofers.

An Enclosure is a box custom fitted to match the subwoofers that go in it. You should think about purchasing a Stinger enclosure if you plan on buying Stinger subwoofers. It's a wise choice, especially to get the best sound clarity out of Stinger audio.

Okay, so everybody likes their Stinger going boom. But without tweeters, everything would just sound like big, bass-driven mush. Remember to balance your bass with treble, because someday, you might want to listen to something other than Too short.
